This fiery galaxy was the second galaxy to be conquered by the Energon Empire. This galaxy was the scene of a long war with the Hastasian Empire, but today is an important part of the Empire. BE: Moleus
Physical Description: Black hole clusters, pulsars, dense matter Population: Sparse Industry: Automated energy collectors, gravity-well testing Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: Only a few technicians and scientists live in this fiery sector at the core of the Pyrus Galaxy. The Energon Empire opened this sector as a source for energy as the Empire spread through the Pyrus Galaxy. It is also home to many experiments using ultra-strong gravity in a variety of fields. BF: Hastas Physical Description: Older stars and worlds, Small black hole field called “Eye of Darkness” Population: Above Average Industry: Mining, starship construction Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [Hastasian League] Notes: The Hastasi had a large empire in the Pyrus Galaxy at the time that Energon scouts first arrived through the Pyrus Gate. Initially, the all-powerful Hastasi emperor denounced the Energons as invaders and a long war erupted between the two empires. After an Energon victory, the Hastasian Empire merged with that of Energon, and an era of peace began. The Energons allowed the Hastasi emperor to remain on his throne, though they established a constitution to keep his power in check. BG: Gratori Physical Description: Flooded with radiation, scorched world Population: Below Average Industry: Radiation refining, mutation technology [Pyrissi Alliance of Industry] Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [HL] Notes: In ancient times, the native Molok peoples fought a war with invading Hastasi. As they began to realize that victory against the incredible Hastasi armada was impossible, they turned to powerful, but defiling, radiation weapons. The tide of war turned in their favor as they assaulted the invaders, but eventually the Hastasi overwhelmed them, despite their weapons. Now the sector is working to clean up its ancient mess of radiation, as well as finding niches in industry for it. BH: Osferus Physical Description: Older stars and worlds, the Flames Population: Average Industry: Mixed manufacturing and agriculture Politics: Freedomist, Democracy Notes: Shortly before the Energons arrived in the Pyrus Galaxy, the Hastasi Empire worked to conquer this sector. The native Orotos and Garayu allied together, doing their best to fight against the Hastasi onslaught. Just as their fight for freedom was looking hopeless, the Hastasi were pulled into a war with the Energon Empire and thus stopped their invasion here. The Orotos and Garayu thought of the Energons as saviors and happily joined their empire. However, over time, the peoples of this sector have chaffed under the laws of the Energons and thus have become a Freedomist sector. BI: Loraj Physical Description: Average worlds, Loraj Nebula Population: Average Industry: Internal industry, minimal outside trade Politics: Internalist, Republic Notes: As the Loraj watched the Hastasi invasion of the Orotos and Garayu from afar, they knew that their peaceful nebula would be next on the Hastasi list for conquest. Thus they turned inward and built up themselves instead of expanding outward, establishing an Internalist mindset that lasts to this day. Eventually the Energons scouted and absorbed this sector, though they often found the Loraj lack of enthusiasm for trade upsetting. BJ: Delarga Physical Description: Average worlds, multiple ancient colony worlds, ExCorp headquarters Population: Average Industry: Map programming, minor mining, manufacturing, exploration bases [Istoth Coalition] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: This sector is best known as the center of operations for Ex Corp, a major business dedicated to exploration. Here navigational computers are programmed, exploration devices are built, and expeditions are financed. Many exploration and archeological parties are sponsored by this sector. BK: Skorrio Physical Description: Average worlds moved to tropical positions, the watery Wish Nebula Population: Substantial Industry: Mining, tourism, agriculture, hydro-mining [IC], [VTP] Politics: Practicalist, Democracy Notes: The native Ankora are an enterprising people who developed the gigantic workers K’bo and the exceedingly intelligent T’thal to run their ever-expanding industry. Numerous giant-scale projects have built up the sector by moving worlds into warmer (and more profitable) orbits around their stars. Tourism is a boon at the popular Wish Nebula and its innumerable resorts and parks. BL: Vuldane Physical Description: Vuldane Trading Defense Fleet, gem mines Population: Above Average Industry: Trading, gem mining [VTP] Politics: Practicalist, Ruling Household Notes: The Vuldane family known long ago established a powerful gem cartel and extended rule over the rest of the Vuldane peoples. They expanded their power through their massive trade and defense armada, which is one of the largest privately owned fleets in the Empire. After joining the Energon Empire, the Vuldane continued to grow in wealth and created the highly rewarding Vuldane Trading Partners organization. BM: Elisca Physical Description: Major construction fields and sites of exploitation Population: Average Industry: Growing industry, importation of materials [VTP] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: For centuries, a plague has kept this sector locked up and decimated its once-massive native population. Finally, doctors with the Energon Empire discovered a cure and were able to open the sector. Now the entire sector is undergoing an amazing revitalization process. BN: Kimso Physical Description: Planets rich in oil, coal, and other carbon-based minerals Population: Average Industry: Mining of carbon-based minerals [VTP] Politics: Practicalist, Confederation Notes: In ancient times, the Kim used seeding ships traveling at less than light speed to terraform worlds throughout this sector. Eventually the sector boasted the highest percentage of world-like planets in all of history. However, with their creation of beyond light speed travel, warlord took control of this sector and ended the expansion. Under the rule of this warlord and his heirs, the Kim government exported enormous amounts of water and other minerals in caravans to the Hastasi Empire, making a great deal of money. With the fall of the Hastasi, however, the Kim were left without a market for their exports and innumerable desert worlds. The resulting economic depression toppled the warlord government and established the present confederation system. Energon prospectors discovered that the sector’s desert worlds, once full of life, were now filled with valuable carbon-based minerals. Now the Kim are enjoying a newfound era of wealth from the exportation of this minerals. BO: Pulsai Physical Description: Average worlds, Nuketos Population: Average Industry: Mercenary training, defense contractors Politics: Superiorist, Rule by Tradition [Kollarian League] Notes: Pulsaigi culture is rich with heroic tales of traveling mercenaries and has thus come to promote them. Pulsaigi mercenaries are found throughout the Energon Empire, though they have long passed their heyday of employment under the Orotos and Garayu in the defense against the Hastasi. Some of the radiation weapons of that war were tested on the dead world Nuketos, where weapons are still tested today. Mercenaries would join Kim caravans traveling toward the center of the galaxy and then leave to join the Orotos and Garayu war effort. To this day, Pulsaigi mercenaries are welcomed in Osferus. BP: Rangiki Physical Description: Worlds covered in jungles, despite climate Population: Average Industry: Experimental agriculture [VTP] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: Since their earliest days, the native T’vor have been experimental with plants. They have covered every world in their sector with plant life, from icy plants in polar regions to brown, dry plants in deserts. The T’vor even accidentally created the plant race known as the Krong. Rangiki’s massive agricultural fields feed the Vuldane Trading Partners with enormous harvests. BQ: Jah’rahj Physical Description: Average worlds, numerous space monuments to Hastasi, Fire World Population: Above Average Industry: Manufacturing, tourism Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [HL] Notes: This sector was once the greatest conquests of the Hastasi Empire. The Hastasi overlords industrialized the native Irin and Vorgal and built up industries to feed the Hastasi war machine. After the fall of the Hastasi, the factories became businesses, which still operate today. This sector is also a popular tourist spot with the famous Fire World, which is kept in a state of molten rock by a nearby star. BR: Tismuth Physical Description: Ore fields, dense-matter clouds, mobile mining cities Population: Average Industry: Heavy mining [VTP] Politics: Practicalist, Socialism Notes: This sector is still being built up. Numerous transportable cities with built-in factories travel through the sector, mining out rich deposits of minerals. These cities and their mining fields are owned by the government, thus creating a socialist system for the sector’s busy workers. BS: Nysor Physical Description: Several ore fields, ion storms, Trith spore hives Population: Below Average Industry: Ionic harvesting, mining Politics: Freedomist, Anarchy Notes: The Trith are spore-like beings that live simply in this sector’s many ion storms. While most of their lives are spent in recreation, the Trith often gather minerals and ions from their sectors and sell them to needy industries. BT: Imith’otolas’malakinuputoy (nicknamed Imith) Physical Description: Dense star fields in east half, spacious on west half Population: Average Industry: Manufacturing, waste fields Politics: Orderist, Fascism Notes: The dense star fields of this sector were long ago being filled with refuse from the productive native Taskiri. At last they began blasting their trash deep into the spacious end of their sector, where enormous garbage dumps exist today. Recently, a company known as Rosito Ax has been building recycling plants to sort and refine the endless fields of garbage. BU: Bamorga Physical Description: Very spacious, few stars; artificial stations; luxury liners Population: Sparse Industry: Tourism Politics: Practicalist, Industry Management Notes: Bamorga was a sector of almost nothing until the Energon Tourist Society became its government. Since then, the sector has been built up by enormous luxury space cruisers and artificial stations that act as theme parks. Bamorga is currently a wealthy sector and its profits are continually invested in new tourist sites. BV: Quarsinon Physical Description: Mostly empty, several large quasars, four clusters Population: Below Average Industry: Internal production and agriculture Politics: Practicalist, Republic (Senate often riotous) Notes: Quarsinon is home to four distinct races (the humanoid Kor, the insectoid Diron, the pyror Fyth, and the avian Paribak), each native to a separate cluster of stars. Since the Energon Empire combined them into a single sector, they have been chaffing against one another. The majority of their industries, however, have found that the aggregation was very profitable and work toward bringing the four star clusters closer together through trade and commerce. BW: Ugaris (also called New Hastas) Physical Description: Abundant farm worlds, growing trade Population: Average Industry: Agriculture, import of minerals and equipment Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [HL] Notes: This sector has been dominated by the Hastasi Empire for millennia. It began as a region for the production of foodstuffs for the Hastasi war machine. Now it continues to produce the majority of the foodstuffs of the Pyrus Galaxy and has very few factories. Some in the sector are pushing for a more outward-looking trade route, though the Hastasi Emperor has been slowing its progress. BX: Arikor Physical Description: Average worlds, spacious toward west, Trybe Population: Average Industry: Ship construction, mining, forg gems Politics: Practicalist, Empire Notes: The Arikor Empire, built of two races, the Droms and the Arikor, has had a Drom queen and an Arikor king for every generation. This empire traded heavily with the Hastasi Empire, though they repeatedly threw off Hastasi invasion forces. The indigenous Forg gems (very useful in laser construction) bring wealth to the empire, although it has brought in strife with the Vuldane Gem Cartel. BY: Xym’s Land Physical Description: Spacious on the west, rocky asteroid fields east Population: Below Average Industry: Minor mining, internal businesses Politics: Practicalist, Democracy Notes: This sector was opened by an Energon prospector named Josias Xym. A prospector boom followed his discovery of valuable minerals, but now the sector is a sleepy, slow-moving one past its heyday. Josias Xym is still a hero to the natives, who dedicate each democratic session to his memory. BZ: Wygotha Physical Description: Empty sector, large asteroids, pirate nests Population: Sparse Industry: Under-the-table dealings Politics: Radicalist, Feudalism Notes: This barely tamed sector is a recurring site of sweeps by the Energon Marines to wipe out the pirate fleets within. It is ruled by scarcely legitimate gangsters, who often carry out bloody attacks on one another. Often times, the pirates and gangsters attack nearby Energon Tourist Society ships, though this practice is often followed by another sweep of the Energon Marines. Many have found this sector a necessary evil for its abilities to cover for underhanded industrial dealings. CA: Zelezendor Physical Description: Average, artificial zero-gravity parks Population: Average Industry: Restaurants, shopping Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: This sector acts as a suburb for the wealthy from Calendor. The sector is filled with nice mansions, topnotch restaurants, and major shopping facilities. Artificial zero-gravity parks act give recreational services to its inhabitants. CB: Calendor Physical Description: Large cities, huge factories Population: Substantial Industry: Manufacturing, refining Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: Calendor is a large sector where everything is on a gigantic scale. Throughout the Empire, there is a saying that goes, “Everything is bigger in Calendor.” This sector is a happy and very productive one. CC: Yari Physical Description: Average worlds, large collective farms, few cities Population: Above Average Industry: Manufacturing (Kari), agriculture (Vari), mining (Yari) [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Republic (that favors Yari) Notes: Long ago, the Yari, Kari, and Vari, three very similar races, had a tremendous war that left the Yari as the racial victor. Since then, the Yari have kept the Kari and Vari in place through a fierce government. The Yari gladly joined the Energon Empire, but ever since have been ridiculed for their oppressive behavior. CD: Harinos Physical Description: Average worlds, Fire Field Population: Average Industry: Plasma harvesting [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [HL] Notes: During the war with the Energon, the alchemists of the Hastasi Empire created the Fire Field as a barrier to disrupt their supply lines. This enormous field of plasma drained matter from the center of the galaxy and accelerated it into fiery plasma. Now, the sector has an economy based on harvesting and refining the massive plasma field. CE: Pyriss Physical Description: Average sector, Pyrus Gate Population: Substantial Industry: Trade with Energon Galaxy, manufacturing [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: When the Energon Empire first opened the Pyrus Gate to allow for intergalactic travel, they came upon the dying Pyrissi Empire. The empire was embroiled in a massive civil war, which ended by the conquest with the Energons. Since then, the Pyrissi have enjoyed a wealthy trade with the Energon Empire. CF: Jerosh Physical Description: Average worlds, Florospheres Population: Average Industry: Agriculture [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Confederation Notes: The Jerosh have always been oriented toward agriculture. With the coming of the Energon Empire, the Jerosh tribes found a new market for their goods. Jeroshi engineers soon designed florospheres, small artificial worlds made of soil, water, and air, which generate ample foodstuffs. CG: Lorzarzah Physical Description: Heavy with resources, numerous spaceports Population: Above Average Industry: Large space cruiser manufacturing, mining [Binary Alliance] Politics: Orderist, Fascism Notes: This is the first of the Twin Sectors and home to four native races. The Lorzar are intelligent beings that manage the sector and design its enormous cruisers. The Zah specialize in testing new technology and designing luxuries for the cruisers. Meanwhile, the Wygg and Mara work as construction workers and miners. CH: Wyggermara Physical Description: Heavy with resources, numerous spaceports Population: Above Average Industry: Mining, large space cruiser manufacturing [Binary Alliance] Politics: Orderist, Fascism Notes: This is the second of the Twin Sectors, where the Energon Empire first came into contact with the busy four races. A small contingent of rebels fought against the Empire as they joined, and the Empire (currently at war with the Hastasi) did not have enough ships to combat all the menaces at the same time. The Twin Sectors noticed this need for ships and created the Binary Alliance corporation. Since then, the sectors have worked to produce innumerable large space craft. CI: Zermi Physical Description: Average worlds, world-wide pneumatic transportation tubes Population: Average Industry: Underwater cities and technology (tariff against Binary Alliance) [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: The Zermi (although not Ichthyoids) live underwater is massive cities near sulfurous volcanic vents. They breathe sulfur and find too much oxygen to be lethal. Because of that, Zermi are forced to wear breathing equipment when traveling to places with normal atmospheres. CJ: Electoss Physical Description: Thermal generators, cities rich with electricity Population: Above Average Industry: Electricity, electrical technology [PAI] Politics: Radicalist, Tribal Leaders Notes: The native Electoss are beings whose bodies, and thus society, are based on electricity. They hold to many of their tribal ways and choose their governments in one-on-one combat. Their radicalist beliefs call for the Energon Empire to do the same. CK: Askaran Physical Description: Average, somewhat spacious Population: Below Average Industry: Mainly mining, growing industrialization [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Democracy Notes: Long ago, this sector was the site of an alliance between the Pyrissi and the native Vado to enslave the whole of the Soobas race. The Energon Empire freed the slaves as punishment for the Vado not accepting the invitation into the Empire. Since then, the Soobas have lived happily working on the massive mining camps of this sector. CL: Rocky Stars (translated from unpronounceable Sooba) Physical Description: Many asteroids, roaming Sooba tribes Population: Below Average Industry: Mining, developing industry [PAI] Politics: Practicalist, Tribal Leaders Notes: The Soobas were native to this sector and still live in tribes. As a frontier of the Pyrissi Empire, they often attacked and were often attacked by the Pyrissi. Now, under Energon protection, they live peacefully and work to mine the asteroids. CM: Yataratay Physical Description: Perfectly manicured worlds, carefully calculated art Population: Average Industry: Gardening, ultra-clean refineries Politics: Internalist, Republic Notes: The native Ami love balance and precision. Their entire sector seems like a well-trimmed garden. To generate money, the Ami have opened giant refineries and are working to open a trade route through Rocky Stars. CN: Ami-Authority Physical Description: Small planetary clusters, many spacious fields Population: Below Average Industry: Few resources, intricate stonework Politics: Radicalist, Fascism Notes: Long ago, the Ami settlers of this sector fought a civil war over personal rights. The free-spirited rights-seekers were defeated, and since then this sector has been ruled by a domineering government. Despite the lack of natural resources, the sector remains busy through intricate carvings in stone that is desired around the Empire. CO: Quross Physical Description: Sparse stars, densely populated star systems Population: Average Industry: Manufacturing, import foodstuffs Politics: Freedomist, Democracy Notes: The native Graszi naturally have an extremely high birthrate. To battle overpopulation in ancient times, they sent out colony ships to distant parts of the sector long before discovering beyond light speed travel. Each star system is very crowded in this sector with neighborhoods and factories closely piled on top of one another. Today, the Graszi have spread their numbers throughout the Empire, which has aided in their struggle against overpopulation. CP: Kutton Physical Description: Pasture worlds, countless beasts of burden Population: Average Industry: Agriculture, export of animals [IC] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: This sector has been a haven for genetic engineering of creatures for millennia. To this day, bizarre new creatures roam the planetary pastures and work farmland. Many beasts are exported to other sectors on massive transport cruisers. However, illegal hunting has plagued this sector and its unique beasts. CQ: Bel’Etos Physical Description: Spacious, old stars, V’ton Nebula Population: Average Industry: Nebular products, relaxation techniques Politics: Internalist, Democracy Notes: The native L’tol are extreme pacifists. They spend their days floating on the winds of their nebula, relaxing peacefully. However, many L’tol find it necessary to work and produce the many goods that come out of their nebula. CR: Smalorgoma Physical Description: Numerous stars in northwest, spacious in southeast Population: Above Average Industry: Mining, ship construction Politics: Internalist, Republic Notes: The native Lorgo and Smagge came from home worlds in the southeast corner of this sector. After fighting many wars over their meager resources, the two races worked together to colonize the mineral-rich, though distant, northwest corner of their sector. Now, they call for all races to band together and work peacefully without competition. CS: Cleravah Physical Description: Average sector, scattered palaces made of crystal Population: Average Industry: Energy, crystal mining and manufacture Politics: Radicalist, Democracy Notes: The S’sobi immigrants of this sector developed crystal palaces to focus sunlight into useful energy. They hate the idea of an emperor, which is what spurred their separation from the other S’sobi long ago. At every Festival of Politics, representatives of this sector call for the elimination of the Energon Emperor. CT: S’sobi Lands Physical Description: Few resources, strong ties of togetherness Population: Average Industry: Trade, creative resource exploitation techniques [IC] Politics: Practicalist, Republic Notes: Long ago, the S’sobi Empire stretched throughout this sector and Cleravah. When the emperor-hating S’sobi successfully broke away, the S’sobi were suddenly left with meager resources. The empire fell apart, creating the S’sobi Allied which rules today. The people work together strongly to maximize their resources. CU: Dysibi Physical Description: Few worlds, very spacious Population: Average Industry: Trade, trade ship construction [IC] Politics: Practicalist, Confederation (of trade fleets) Notes: The Trovin came from a world of very few resources. They took to the skies early in their development, traveling between stars looking for more resources. Since then, they have relied on trade as their way of life, and eagerly welcomed the Energon Empire to their sector. Trovin ships work on unique wing-like propulsion. |
