Pyrus Galaxy      Pyrus Galaxy     Pyrus Galaxy

This fiery galaxy was the second galaxy to be conquered by the Energon Empire.  This galaxy was the scene of a long war with the Hastasian Empire, but today is an important part of the Empire.

BE: Moleus
Physical Description: Black hole clusters, pulsars, dense matter
Population: Sparse
Industry: Automated energy collectors, gravity-well testing
Politics: Practicalist, Republic
Notes: Only a few technicians and scientists live in this fiery sector at the core of the Pyrus Galaxy. The Energon Empire opened this sector as a source for energy as the Empire spread through the Pyrus Galaxy. It is also home to many experiments using ultra-strong gravity in a variety of fields.

BF: Hastas
Physical Description: Older stars and worlds, Small black hole field called “Eye of Darkness”
Population: Above Average
Industry: Mining, starship construction
Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [Hastasian League]
Notes: The Hastasi had a large empire in the Pyrus Galaxy at the time that Energon scouts first arrived through the Pyrus Gate. Initially, the all-powerful Hastasi emperor denounced the Energons as invaders and a long war erupted between the two empires. After an Energon victory, the Hastasian Empire merged with that of Energon, and an era of peace began. The Energons allowed the Hastasi emperor to remain on his throne, though they established a constitution to keep his power in check.

BG: Gratori
Physical Description: Flooded with radiation, scorched world
Population: Below Average
Industry: Radiation refining, mutation technology [Pyrissi Alliance of Industry]
Politics: Practicalist, Constitutional Empire [HL]
Notes: In ancient times, the native Molok peoples fought a war with invading Hastasi. As they began to realize that victory against the incredible Hastasi armada was impossible, they turned to powerful, but defiling, radiation weapons. The tide of war turned in their favor as they assaulted the invaders, but eventually the Hastasi overwhelmed them, despite their weapons. Now the sector is working to clean up its ancient mess of radiation, as well as finding niches in industry for it.

BH: Osferus
Physical Description: Older stars and worlds, the Flames
Population: Average
Industry: Mixed manufacturing and agriculture
Politics: Freedomist, Democracy
Notes: Shortly before the Energons arrived in the Pyrus Galaxy, the Hastasi Empire worked to conquer this sector. The native Orotos and Garayu allied together, doing their best to fight against the Hastasi onslaught. Just as their fight for freedom was looking hopeless, the Hastasi were pulled into a war with the Energon Empire and thus stopped their invasion here. The Orotos and Garayu thought of the Energons as saviors and happily joined their empire. However, over time, the peoples of this sector have chaffed under the laws of the Energons and thus have become a Freedomist sector.

BI: Loraj
Physical Description: Average worlds, Loraj Nebula
Population: Average
Industry: Internal industry, minimal outside trade
Politics: Internalist, Republic
Notes: As the Loraj watched the Hastasi invasion of the Orotos and Garayu from afar, they knew that their peaceful nebula would be next on the Hastasi list for conquest. Thus they turned inward and built up themselves instead of expanding outward, establishing an Internalist mindset that lasts to this day. Eventually the Energons scouted and absorbed this sector, though they often found the Loraj lack of enthusiasm for trade upsetting.

BJ: Delarga
Physical Description: Average worlds, multiple ancient colony worlds, ExCorp headquarters
Population: Average
Industry: Map programming, minor mining, manufacturing, exploration bases [Istoth Coalition]
Politics: Practicalist, Republic

Tourism is a boon at the popular Wish Nebula and its innumerable resorts and parks.

BL: Vuldane
Physical Description: Vuldane Trading Defense Fleet, gem mines
Population: Above Average
Industry: Trading, gem mining [VTP]

BN: Kimso
Physical Description: Planets rich in oil, coal, and other carbon-based minerals
Population: Average
Industry: Mining of carbon-based minerals [VTP]
Politics: Practicalist, Confederation
Notes: In ancient times, the Kim used seeding ships traveling at less than light speed to terraform worlds throughout this sector. Eventually the sector boasted the highest percentage of world-like planets in all of history. However, with their creation of beyond light speed travel, warlord took control of this sector and ended the expansion. Under the rule of this warlord and his heirs, the Kim government exported enormous amounts of water and other minerals in caravans to the Hastasi Empire, making a great deal of money. With the fall of the Hastasi, however, the Kim were left without a market for their exports and innumerable desert worlds. The resulting economic depression toppled the warlord government and established the present confederation system. Energon prospectors discovered that the sector’s desert worlds, once full of life, were now filled with valuable carbon-based minerals. Now the Kim are enjoying a newfound era of wealth from the exportation of this minerals.

BO: Pulsai
Physical Description: Average worlds, Nuketos

Notes: Pulsaigi culture is rich with heroic tales of traveling mercenaries and has thus come to promote them. Pulsaigi mercenaries are found throughout the Energon Empire, though they have long passed their heyday of employment under the Orotos and Garayu in the defense against the Hastasi. Some of the radiation weapons of that war were tested on the dead world Nuketos, where weapons are still tested today. Mercenaries would join Kim caravans traveling toward the center of the galaxy and then leave to join the Orotos and Garayu war effort. To this day, Pulsaigi mercenaries are welcomed in Osferus.
